Employment advice and language practice belong in the same room when a career crosses borders.
Why Codeorbitbase began
Mara Feld began supporting adult German learners who could discuss news and grammar in class yet froze when asked to explain a gap in their CV. At the same time, skilled newcomers were receiving employment advice full of unfamiliar terms but little chance to rehearse the conversations that followed.
Codeorbitbase was formed in Hamburg to close that practical distance. The name points to orientation: understanding where you stand, what is around you and which next move is realistic. The work itself stays human—documents on the table, careful listening and repeated speech.
Experience that meets the situation
Mara has worked in adult language education, career orientation and intercultural communication. She undertakes continuing professional development in German as a second language and keeps referral routes to public employment services, qualification-recognition offices and independent legal advisers. She does not replace those institutions.
How we work
We use real vacancies, role descriptions and anonymised workplace examples. Correction is selective: first the message must be understandable, then precise, then natural enough for the setting. Direct feedback is paired with another chance to try. No accent needs to disappear, and no client is promised a job.
Our commitments are simple: explain the boundary of our expertise, collect only the documents needed, protect personal information and recommend a smaller engagement when it will do the job.
